PRESS RELEASE: NATIONAL FEDERATION OF CROATIAN AMERICANS (NFCA) PRESENTS PRESIDENT’S AWARD TO KATIE PAVLICH


On May 31st, 2014, The National Federation of Croatian Americans President, Mr. Paul Tonšetic-Kunder is honored to present Ms. Katie Pavlich with the NFCA President’s Award.

 “We honor your professional achievements as a distinguished author and journalist. You are both a proud Croatian American and the source of great pride within our Croatian Diaspora.”

The Award will be presented to Ms. Pavlich at the 21st Annual NFCA Conference and Assembly being held May 31st, 2014 at the St. Lawrence Croatian Club (CFU Lodge #13) in Steelton, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Pavlich’s is a Croatian-American conservative journalist. She has shared her perspective on multiple media venues including, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and Fox Business. In addition to a host of national and local radio shows, she regularly speaks on college campuses across the country.

She currently serves as the news editor for Townhall.com and is a contributing editor to Townhall Magazine. She is an award-winning author of ‘Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Cover-Up,’ a New York Times best seller. As a reporter, she has covered topics ranging from the White House and the 2012 presidential election, to the Second Amendment and border issues.

She is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. In 2013, she was named ‘Blogger of the Year’ by the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) for her coverage of the ATF scandal commonly referred to as “Fast and Furious.”

Her deep love of the outdoors and respect for firearms are rooted in the formative experiences of growing up in the mountains of northern Arizona, rafting the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, and hunting big game with her father in the forests and deserts of Arizona. Today, she resides in the Washington, DC area.
