Collegium pro musica sacra earned silver medal in Rome 2009
The 3rd International Choir Competition was organized by sacred music association Musica Mundi in the basilica of San Crisogono in Rome from June 30 to July 5 2009. Twenty choirs participated from all over the world. Croatian choir Collegium pro musica sacra, conducted by Iva Juras on the left, earned silver diploma. This excellent Croatian choir exists for 37 years.

Igor Stagljar distinguished Croatian molecular biologist in Toronto
Professor Igor Štagljar and his team of scientists in Toronto began developing an original biological method for the identification of new proteins involved in the development of cancer. This method paved the way for the research of grave genetic diseases, particularly cystic fibrosis.

Zvonimir Atletic is professional Croatian photographer. His unique photos include such persons like Mother Teresa and Father Ante Gabrić, well known worldwide for their humanitarian work, especially in India. Mr Atletić had numerous exhibitions not only in Croatia, but also in Italy, France, Poland, Indonesia, Brasil, etc.

Bozidar Finka 1925-1999 distinguished Croatian linguist
Božidar Finka 1925-1999 was distignuished Croatian linguist, a member of Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. This article has been published on the occasion of 10th year anniversary of his death. He is one of the authors of theCroatian orthography prepared in 1971.

CROATIAN art&craft EXPO New York City @ Gallery MC July 23 - July 31 2009
The ten-day cultural event will consist of two exhibitions representing current Croatian applied and fine arts, featuring over forty contemporary artists working in traditional and non-traditional media, such as ceramics, glass, metal, stone, textiles, unique jewelry, product design, paintings and more. The exhibitions will be in the heart of New York City @ Gallery MC from July 23rd - July 31st, 2009.
